Mothers Day and Fathers Day are right around the corner and this is the perfect sale for both occasions.
If Mom and Dad are readers we have a wonderful collection of both antique and newer books. There are books on History of Virginia and the Civil War. Antique books that in beautiful condition. A terrific collection of Southern Living Cook books and other assorted cook books. Newer novels in almost new condition and a large number of coffee table books that would make great gifts.
One of the best surprises of all are the wonderful tools in the garage. At this time we have not uncovered all of them, but we will give you a sample of the very nice Matabo professional tools that we have seen so far, better yet check out the attached pictures. There are many boxes to unpack so you will be just as surprised as we are on Saturday. So many of these will be great gifts for Dad.
The dining room table and 6 chairs have an extra leaf and could easily seat 8. There is a server and buffet along with a very nice china cupboard with lots of storage for all your special china, crystal and silver. This is a dining room that could make you very proud.
The Seth Thomas grandfather clock works and has a beautiful chime and will be a lovely addition to any living room or foyer.
In the living room you will see the dark brown leather reclining sofa and the two attached reclining theater seats. The large entertainment center will hold a large television and has lighted display cabinets on either side.
An abundance of art grace the walls. One really interesting piece is the Willie Crockett print of the Onancock Wharf. There are some original pieces of art and all will be priced very reasonably and ready to go to a new home. The beautiful copper creation bird has never been outside and looks new as well the nice stained glass window hanging between the kitchen and the dining room.
At the time of this writting, the kitchen has surprises still to be discovered in the cabinets. There is a set of all clad cookware, several small appliances and a wonderful tea pot collection for starters. A small chest freezer will also be available.
If music is in your present or future you will enjoy the Harmony guitar with case and the Yamaha electronic key board with its own seat. Both have seen very little use.
In the bedrooms are a full size mahogany pineapple bed frame, a wrought iron daybed that is also a trundle bed and a very reasonable king size mattress and box springs. There will be dressers and night stands.
We will be selling several vintage and antique quilts as well as linens and very sweet antique baby clothes. There are several beautiful comforters for twin, full and king beds. One special Hidden Treasure we found are the two vintage Hudson’s Bay blankets from Maine. No moth holes and gauranteed to keep you warm on the coldest of nights.
Another very nice surprise is the Sonya Hinny doll from the early 1930’s with her original skating outfit. Nice pieces of jewelry and some new ladies shoes size 7 including a pair of custom made snakeskin shoes.
We also found some great memribilla pieces and some super collecable information regarding the Dion Quintripplets from the early 40’s.
White washed wicker love seat, two chairs and table will be priced to sell right away. The seats will probably need new cushions. On the deck is Weber gas grill with cover and an umbrella for the glass top table.
This will be a fun sale with some very interesting items at reasonable prices. We will look forward to seeing you on Saturday. The sale location is easy to find just a block off the road to Silver Beach. Look for the pink and black directional signs.
